GOLF COMMUNITY GUIDE

Grayhawk

A North Scottsdale community built around two public golf courses, with condos, townhomes and single-family homes just off Pima Road.

Grayhawk is one of the simpler ways to live around golf in North Scottsdale, because the golf is open to everyone. Talon and Raptor are public, and there is no club to join. The community has two main parts: The Retreat, which is guard-gated and wraps around the courses, and The Park to the west, with single-family homes and open green space. Condos and townhomes give Grayhawk a wider price range than most communities in these guides, and they suit buyers who want less upkeep.

At a glance

  • Golf: two public courses at Grayhawk Golf Club. Talon was designed by David Graham and Gary Panks, and Raptor by Tom Fazio.
  • The club: open to the public, with no membership required to play.
  • Homes: condos, townhomes, single-family homes and custom homes in The Retreat.
  • Location: west of Pima Road along Thompson Peak Parkway, 85255. The Retreat is guard-gated.

The market right now

Grayhawk moves more homes than any other community in these guides: 197 sold in the past year and 64 for sale now. Condos and townhomes bring the median down to about $775,000, while the largest homes can sell for several million.
